This course presents an overview of negotiating for PennDOT professionals, with an emphasis on skill development. It also addresses professional ethics, a framework for negotiation, and key points of negotiating. Negotiating styles and strategies are presented with a focus on skillful questioning and listening. There are several examples discussed. Exercises for class participation and discussion will be presented. A negotiating trouble-shooting guide and a negotiating checklist will also be provided and discussed. |
