Summary:

This training will be a one-day class for PennDOT and business partner project managers and cross functional design services managers, specifically, traffic, right-of-way, utilities, bridge and highway engineers. The training will focus on a formal risk management approach to help participants optimize project performance (i.e., cost and schedule) in planning, design and construction phases. Participants will learn about the Department’s risk management policy as detailed in DM1X, Appendix AG. This interactive course includes a case study and has a computer-based component using the Microsoft Excel Risk Management template (Risk Template). Participants will get hands on training in using the Risk Template, which is designed to help tabulate, assess, track, and respond to risks and opportunities in construction projects. |
