Project Description:

ECMS 66296

The project is for reconstruction of approximately 2.25 miles along SR 443 and includes roadway and safety improvement consisting of a center turn lane along the entire corridor as well as the addition of left-turn lanes added at the Mall Rd./Mall Ln. intersection and the E. Penn St./Mahoning Mt. Rd. intersection to improve traffic flow and reduce crashes. Traffic signal improvement will occur at these intersections. Highway access from adjacent properties will be adjusted as needed to improve traffic operations and safety along SR 0443. Roadway drainage will be improved along the corridor to eliminate roadway flooding. Shoulders will be maintained throughout the project site to provide for pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The structure along SR 0902 will be replaced and the intersection of SR 0902 and SR 443 will be realigned. The structure along SR 443 will be rehabilitated and will consist of superstructure replacement. The project also includes pavement improvements, post construction stormwater management facilities, drainage improvements, traffic signing, utility installation/relocation, guiderail, pavement markings and other miscellaneous construction.
